A chain of golf shops wanted a redesign of their web site.  www.golfbargains.com became their new internet storefront.

 Contract/PO Management System

Los Angeles Unified School District, the U.S.'s 2nd largest, was facing new legislative contract requirements.  A new system was needed to meet these demands.

 Platform Conversions

This company was facing the huge task of migrating 300 DOS/Unix workstations and 25 Unix servers to Windows NT.  How we did it

  • Managed and rewrote multiple applications for the CAD environment.

  • Developed domain infrastructure consisting of a Primary Domain Controller (PDC) and six Backup Domain Controllers dispersed over Southern California.

  Web-Enabled Applications

Southern California Gas Co. needed a mechanism for managing and selling available natural gas capacity at various receipt points in Southern California.

We provided  

  • Web site accepts bids on capacity over the public Internet.

  • The application includes a tool that analyzes bids and awards contracts based on PUC regulatory requirements.

  • Capacity adjustments made in real-time based on awarded contracts.

  • Implemented a web server for external traffic & an application server for internal use.

  • Other features include automatic email notification and system interfaces with other Gas Co. systems.

An internet startup company needed an internet application to drive their business.  What we designed

  • System was used to track customer profile information and map it to available product discounts.

  • Application was written using Active Server Pages (ASP) interfacing with Microsoft SQL Server®.

An architectural firm needed an interoffice time recording system for handling a multitude of projects.

What we developed

  • Provided an intranet time accounting system.

  • The design modeled the client’s previous file server/spreadsheet mechanism to collect employee time by project.

  • A centralized database provided the foundation for real-time data analysis while eliminating many hours of administration and maintenance. 

 Computer Maintenance Management System (CMMS)

Our client needed a customized application to interface with an off-the-shelf CMMS (MAXIMO®).  Details

  • Managed complete conversion of data from legacy system.

  • Included custom application developed using Oracle Developer®, fully integrated with the MAXIMO® interface and security.

  • Implementation included development of various reporting tools for data management.

  • Cognos Impromptu® and PowerPlay® were used to establish both detailed reports as well as summary level Business Intelligence analysis.

  • Developed extended application logic using application library files (dll’s written in C++) as well as Oracle stored procedures and database triggers (written in PLSQL).
